The Lodge & Accommodation
Leroo La Tau lodge offers twelve luxurious thatched and glass-fronted suites with en-suite bathrooms, each unit elevated on a wooden platform overlooking the Boteti River Valley. Its unique location on the edge of the Boteti River allows guests to witness the zebra migration and abundant wildlife from various vantage points, including the guest rooms.
The main lounge and dining area, with its inviting wooden and thatch decor, lets you unwind at the bar while enjoying the diverse night sounds of the African bush. Alternatively, you can relax by the swimming pool or take in the panoramic river views from the game-viewing hide built into the riverbank.
Activities and Wildlife
Leroo La Tau lodge provides guided game drives in the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, highlighting the exceptional wildlife along the Boteti River. Depending on the water level, boat activities are also available. Optional cultural excursions to Khumaga Village and day trips to Nxai Pan and Baines Baobabs (for three-night stays) can be arranged. For a truly unique experience, guests can enjoy a sleepout under the stars on the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans (for three-night stays).
Leroo La Tau, meaning ‘lion’s paw,’ is surrounded by abundant lion, zebra, and wildebeest populations, as well as Chobe bushbuck, leopard, cheetah, brown and spotted hyena, impala, kudu, jackal, porcupine, genet, and caracal, among others.

ELECTRICITY – Operates on AC 220V generator power available during the day and evening. The generator is turned off at night, and 12-volt DC lighting illuminates rooms and bathrooms overnight.
INTERNET – Wi-Fi is available in the rooms. Wi-Fi is via remote satellite link, and constant connectivity is not guaranteed.
